St. Cloud motorcyclist killed in head-on crash

A St. Cloud motorcyclist was killed in a crash Monday morning after being hit head-on by a SUV while trying to pass traffic..

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist, 21, was traveling northbound on Simpson Road at about 5:40 a.m.

A 30-year-old female was traveling southbound on Simpson Road at the same time, when the motorcyclist attempted to pass traffic in a no-passing zone, FHP troopers said.

The motorcyclist hit the SUV head-on. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The SUV driver did not suffer any injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
