After 40 years in business and surviving a pandemic, PG’s Wing and More is still offering a tasty menu of comfort food.

How has PG’s, 1205 W. Oak St., Kissimmee, stayed in business so long? Well, if you ask General Manager Zahir Ally, it’s all about being loyal to the customers, maintaining good customer service and high quality of food.

“We try to maintain a good product for the customer,” Ally said.

On the menu, you’ll find a reasonably priced list of delicious delights, such as macaroni and cheese, fried cod filet sandwiches, fried pickle appetizers and grilled chicken salads.

But its signature offering is its popular Buffalo wings.

“It’s original style Buffalo wings that we created here,” Ally said. “We never changed the recipe. The recipe is still the same.”

You can get them from plain to super hot. You also can get different sauces including teriyaki, garlic, honey mustard and lemon pepper.

While COVID-19 put some restaurants out of business, PG’s survived on its delivery business as the dining area was shut down for two months. Business fell to about 50 percent, yet the Kissimmee staple maintained.

“We’re surviving because we are well established. People have known us for a long period of time,” Ally said. “The quality of food is good, our reputation is good.’

And while it had to cut back on staffing hours, the restaurant never had to lay anyone off, Ally said.

Business is now slowly getting back up to speed as more people are getting more comfortable to come out, he added.

“We want to thank them for supporting us,” Ally said. “We want to thanks them for being loyal to PG’s.”
