The Poinciana Area Council (P.A.C.) always holds a school-supply drive for Poinciana area schools.

This year’s format maybe a little different but, still the same cause.

P.A.C. is hosting a virtual and live school supply drive. Since students are unable to share supplies this year, supplies are more in need now than ever. If you would like to donate supplies, they can be dropped off at Poinciana Medical Center, 325 Cypress Parkway, Riviera Spa Massage, 395 Village Drive, Solivita, and Kissimmee/Osceola County Chamber of Commerce, 1425 E. Vine St., Kissimmee (donations may be dropped off at this location Monday through Thursday only). If you prefer to stay distant and donate, go to bit.ly/PACSupplies20.

The P.A.C. provides a common voice promoting the economic well-being of the community. This includes the advancement of civic, commercial, professional, educational and environmental welfare in Poinciana. For more information on P.A.C., call 407-847-4523.

• If it is the first Thursday of the month, it’s “First Thursday Food Truck Frenzy.” The “Frenzy” is happening today from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Mary Jane Arrington Gym and Aquatic Center, 625 Country Club Drive.

Start your Labor Day weekend a little early. Enjoy some great food and music mixed by D.J. Ric.

• In-line with 2020, Halloween will be a little different this year. Halloween Scream N’Stream, hosted by Boggy Creek Airport Adventures, is planning some spooky events that will be like watching a horror movie in real life from the seat of your car. Drive-in to their 30-minute theatrical experience that takes place along a 1.2-mile dark forest road. This “Spooktacular” will include live performances, props, audio and more. In addition, there is drive-through trick or treating (family friendly) as well as a drive-through haunted house (parental discretion is advised).

Boggy Creek Airboat Adventures is located at 2001 E. Southport Road. This event runs from Sept. 25 to Oct. 31. Portions of proceeds will benefit Second Harvest Food Bank.

For tickets and more information, go to www.ScreamStream.com.

• Living Water Fellowship, 4101 Pleasant Hill Road, holds a drive through food distribution every Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. Food distribution is for the first 400 households, no walk-ups are permitted. One box per family. Food will need to be refrigerated. Each box contains: fresh vegetables, fresh fruit, cheese, milk, butter and a large bag of pre-cooked chicken strips.
