Osceola County has partnered with North Star Place Branding + Marketing to develop a community “Brand” for marketing the area to residents, businesses and visitors in the year 2021 and beyond.

“Until now, Osceola County has never gone through a formal branding exercise to research within our borders and identify who we are or who we aspire to be,” said Osceola Chairwoman Viviana Janer. “(The year) 2020 has been difficult in so many ways, delaying this project by many months, but this year also revealed much about the sense of community among our residents and businesses.  As we plan ahead for brighter times, this project’s goal is to define Osceola’s distinctiveness.”

According to North Star CEO Will Ketchum, at the heart of Osceola County’s brand will be its competitive differentiator – in other words, what makes the community special so it can stand out in the marketplace. And one of the best places to find that figurative nugget of marketing gold is in the hearts and minds of the people who call Osceola County home.

Toward this end, North Star developed a customized community-wide online survey.

The questionnaire has been carefully crafted to determine Osceola County’s strengths, weaknesses, challenges and opportunities. All who live and/or work in Osceola County are invited and encouraged to participate in this important community-wide initiative.

The survey can be found at www.brandingosceola.com. Surveys can be completed online and submitted electronically. Surveys must be completed and submitted before December 10. The survey is available in both Spanish and English.

“The Osceola Board of County Commissioners to hear from everyone in Osceola County about what makes Osceola County special. It is important for us to celebrate what we love about the place we all call home and share that with others,” added Janer. “This survey allows the opportunity for our residents to be open and honest with their opinions, giving real insight as to how they feel about our community.”

“We have partnered with more than 250 communities across North America, and I can’t emphasize enough the importance of insights gleaned from community members,” stressed Ketchum.
