Osceola County attorney fired at commission meeting

Osceola County Attorney Andrew Mai was terminated at the Osceola County Commission meeting on Monday effective immediately with the addition of the county paying up to six months of Cobra insurance.
Commissioner Cheryl Grieb made the motion and it passed unanimously. When asked after the meeting why she made the motion, Grieb declined to comment.
Frank Townsend was appointed as the interim county attorney.
