The Osceola Meals on Wheels program is calling on the public to help boost the pet food supply for seniors’ pets as the stock is running low.

Called Jimmy’s Place, the food pantry for pets, at the Osceola Council on Aging, 700 Generation Point, Kissimmee, the items needed are:

• Dogs: small bites and canned food.
• Cats: bagged and canned food and kitty litter.
Both supplies and financial donations are needed. The public can visit the Council on Aging to drop off the dog and cat food Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“Our seniors need our help to keep their pets healthy, so that they may live a long and happy life, along with keeping our seniors healthy and happy for years to come,” said Wilda Belisle, senior vice president of Osceola Meals on Wheels.

Plus, the council is always accepting non-perishable food items for its Community Food Pantry that serves the community throughout the year.
