Osceola County Clerk of the Circuit Court Armando Ramírez has announced the Clerk’s Office will be reopening on June 8.

It was first announced that it expected to open on June 1.

To that regard, the following plan of action will be in place for accessing the courthouse building.  The plan was developed to protect the health and safety of the members of the Osceola County community and clerk’s staff.

Check-in process: Customer check-in tents will be located to the right of the courthouse steps where Clerk staff will be assisting from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.  After 3 p.m., customers are welcomed to utilize the Clerk’s Office online services.  During the check-in process, a text messaging check-in system will be utilized. This system will alert customers when clerk staff is available to assist them. Customers will be given a colored court pass for the divisions that will be servicing them: Civil, Criminal and Recording.  Assistance will also be available for credit card payments.  Only 25 percent capacity will be allowed entry to the courthouse at one time. Customers should be aware that in case of inclement weather, delays might be experienced.

Ticketing system:  Once customers are inside the building, they will be directed to the second floor reception area where they will be given a ticket for the appropriate division. Clerk staff will be available throughout the building directing customers and collecting Court Passes when they are finished with their visit.

Requirements:  Customers will be required to wear a facemask that properly covers their nose and mouth while they are in all common/public areas in the building in order to be serviced.  Due to the limitation in occupancy, family and/or friends that are not being serviced must not accompany customers. Only customers being serviced will be allowed in the building with the exception of injunction customers. Additionally, all persons entering the courthouse shall undergo a health screening and temperature check.  Appropriate social distancing will be enforced in all common/public areas of the court facilities.
