Florida Highway Patrol reports a 63-year-old Orlando woman was struck and killed by a pickup truck late Friday night while crossing U.S. Highway 192 in Celebration.

The incident occurred shortly after 10 p.m. as the westbound Ford F-150 was in the turn lane to Celebration Boulevard. According to FHP's crash report, the woman was crossing 192 to the north, not in a crosswalk, entered the direct path of the pickup and was struck. She was pronounced dead at the scene, the report says, also noting the 33-year-old Kissimmee man was not injured and remained at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation, FHP says.

This was one of five fatal crashes FHP reported in Osceola, Orange and Brevard counties between 9 p.m. Friday and 3 a.m. Saturday morning.
