An Orlando motorcyclist was killed on Monday in an Osceola County crash, after a van turned into his path, authorities said.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, a 33-year-old Kissimmee man was driving the van southbound on Poinciana Boulevard, approaching Old Tampa Highway at about 5 p.m. When he attempted to make a left turn, he entered the path of the 41-year-old motorcyclist, who was driving northbound on Poinciana Boulevard, the report stated. The motorcycle struck the right side of the van. The man was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The crash remains under investigation.
