The northbound lanes of John Young Parkway north of Columbia Avenue to Donegan have been closed since about 7 a.m. Wednesday as Kissimmee Police investigate a deadly crash. This is near the Kissimmee archway overpass across John Young. 

Aerial reports show the possible collision between a motorcycle and a bicycle, or possibly two motorcycles.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area, and can use Central Avenue or Orange Blossom Trail to Donegan.

DEADLY PEDESTRIAN CRASH TUESDAY ON TURNPIKE: Florida Highway Patrol reports a 73-year-old Kissimmee man was struck and killed while walking on Florida's Turnpike in Kissimmee Tuesday night. 

Per FHP's report, the man was walking south in the northbound lanes between Osceola Parkway and U.S. Highway 192 just before 9 p.m. when a Jeep driven by a Fort Lauderdale woman in the outside lane struck the man, who was thrown into the inside lane by the impact, then struck by a Chevy Cruze driven by a Davenport woman. All vehicles involved remained on the scene; the occupants of the vehicles sustained minor injuries, FHP said. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased on the scene.

No information is yet available on while the man was walking on the Turnpike; the crash remains under investigation.

MOTORCYCLIST KILLED IN ORANGE COUNTY CRASH: A 69-year-old Kissimmee man was killed Tuesday just before 6 p.m. when his motorcycle struck a parked car, throwing him from his bike.

FHP reports he was riding a black Honda Rebel on Sailfish Street near Kingfish Street; that's off Hoffner Avenue west of State Road 436 just north of Orlando International Airport. FHP reports that, for unknown reasons, he hit the front of a parked Honda CR-V. He was thrown to the pavement due to the impact. He was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.
