Osceola residents earn college honors

 

Collegians from Osceola County continue to earn awards, as reported to the News-Gazette by Merit Pages News:

 

Michael Guzman of Kissimmee was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Guzman was initiated at University of North Florida. Guzman is among approximately 25,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year.

Shivanie Sharma and Carolyn Gomes of Kissimmee were initiated into Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Leadership Honor Society, as two of 578 new initiates from 25 universities during March 2022. They are initiated at University of Central Florida.

Jennifer Tolliver of Kissimmee, at Florida Institute of Technology, and Todd Jamoom of St. Cloud at Florida State University, were recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.

Gabriella Carrion of Kissimmee and Christian Doane of Celebration graduated with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic’s Florida campus in Port Orange on March 25. In addition, Paola Rivera Rosario of St. Cloud and Diego Torres Malave of Kissimmee were named to the winter 2022 quarter Dean’s List.

HCA Healthcare Recognized

HCA Healthcare, which manages five Central Florida hospitals, including HCA Florida Osceola Hospital, HCA Florida Poinciana Hospital and UCF Lake Nona Hospital, has been recognized for the second consecutive year on the 2022 LinkedIn Top Companies ranking, an annual list that helps professionals identify the top workplaces to grow their careers.

The list recognizes the top 50 organizations in the U.S. using LinkedIn data to rank companies based on seven pillars that have been shown to lead to career progression: ability to advance; skills growth; external opportunity; company stability; company affinity; gender diversity and educational background.
