Osceola County Commission Chairman Brandon Arrington, district 3, hosted a free, drive-through food distribution Saturday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.

More than 600 residents received meat, vegetables and other food items. As part of the event, backpacks were given to families with school-age children. The COVID-19 pandemic has increased food insecurity in the community, and Arrington and the county have worked with the pantry at the church for many months.

Distribution was a collaboration with State Representative Kristen Arrington and Second Harvest Food Bank.
