The excitement of the Kissimmee Mecum Auction returns to Osceola Heritage Park for the 17th time Jan. 6-16.

An estimated 3,500 vehicles, daily Road Art selections, the Mecum Midway of food, exhibitors and various live entertainment acts, the Dodge Thrill Ride and the ceaseless high-energy Mecum auction action will again be featured.

Earlier this year, MotorTrend and Mecum Auctions recently announced a new multi-year agreement to deliver exclusive live broadcast and streaming coverage of Mecum Auctions on MotorTrend+ and MotorTrend TV beginning with the Kissimmee auction this January.

A dozen private collections comprising nearly 200 vehicles have already been consigned for the annual Kissimmee auction. About 150 will be offered at no reserve. Among the unique pieces is a 2016 Pagani Huayra (Lot R524), one of just 100 built by the elite Pagani Automobili Modena engineering team.

A 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 “Gulf One” (Lot R384) from The John Justo Collection should fetch a pretty penny. The ultrarare Z06 is the most successful factory-backed production racing Corvette of the C2 era; it’s one of only 14 assigned strictly for competition.

Other Kissimmee auction headliners include a 1951 Bob Hirohata Mercury Custom (Lot R542) built by Sam and George Barris, considered by many to be the most famous custom car of the classic era; a 1992 Ferrari F40 (Lot R648) that’s one of 22 produced in the model year and shows just 8,732 miles; a one-of-five 1965 Shelby Factory Stage III Cobra Dragonsnake (Lot R308) that is the only Stage III factory-built customer version; a 1970 Oldsmobile 442 W-30 Convertible (R303) that is one of 96 built as a factory 4-speed; and a 2018 Ford GT ’67 Heritage Edition (Lot R553) with just seven miles.

“Kissimmee has grown into the world’s largest collector car auction and is recognized for its selection ranging from entry-level collectibles to multimillion-dollar elite consignments,” Vice President of Consignments Frank Mecum said. “What started with 400 consignments has grown into an event that is now 10 days in length with over 3,000 cars to choose from, and we’re looking forward to an even bigger and better Mecum Kissimmee this January.”

It’s not too late to consign a vehicle for auction; see details at Mecum.com. Bidder registration is available online in advance and on-site for $200, which includes admission for two to the entire auction. Daily admission is $20 in advance online, $30 after Jan. 5 and at the door. Children 12 and under are free.

Gates open daily at 9 a.m., auctions will open at 11 a.m. on Jan. 6-12 and 10 a.m. on Jan. 13-15. An exclusive Road Art auction will be held Jan. 10 at 11 a.m. Gates close one hour after the final vehicle of the day crosses the block.
