Kissimmee pedestrian hit, killed on Old Tampa Highway

A Kissimmee man was hit and killed by a vehicle while walking on Old Tampa Highway early Wednesday morning.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, the 33-year-old pedestrian was walking eastbound on the highway at about 2:50 a.m. Wednesday.

A 29-year-old Orlando man was driving a vehicle eastbound on Old Tampa Highway and failed to see the pedestrian before he hit him, the report stated. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
