Kissimmee millage rate proposed to remain unchanged for 12th year

During the budget workshop, the Kissimmee City Commission voted to propose a millage rate of 4.6253 for the upcoming 2020-21 fiscal year operating budget, which will make it the 12th year in a row the millage rate will go unchanged.

This millage rate remains in the lower 30 percent of all millage rates within the state.
City Manager Mike Steigerwald also presented the City Commission during the workshop with a proposed $205 million budget for consideration to support the city’s needs and long-term goals.
The first public hearing for the proposed operating budget is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 9, with a second hearing scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 22.
