A Kissimmee man was killed early Thursday morning in Buenaventura Lakes when Florida Highway Patrol says he was struck while making a left turn onto Buenaventura Boulevard.

The incident happened just before 1:30 a.m. at the intersection of Buenaventura and Oakwood Drive, just west of Simpson Road. The FHP report said the 60-year-old was turning left from Oakwood in a Toyota Prius, and entered the direct path of a Nissan Rogue headed south on Buenaventura driven by a 33-year-old Kissimmee man. The Rogue struck the drivers' side of the Prius.

The victim was pronounced dead on scene; the Rogue driver was transported to HCA Florida Osceola Hospital with non-life threatening injures.

FHP said the crash remains under investigation.
