Kissimmee man hit, killed trying to cross John Young Parkway

A Kissimmee man was hit and killed by a vehicle when he tried to cross John Young Parkway early Saturday morning.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, a 42-year-old man, of Poinciana, was driving a sedan-type vehicle westbound on John Young Parkway in the center lane at about 2:36 a.m.
The pedestrian tried to cross the parkway to the north and wasn't in a crosswalk or intersection when he was hit, the report stated. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
