You may now commence to storming the castle—for some sliders, chicken sandwiches and other comfort food.

White Castle, with its mini-hamburgers, chicken sliders and unique plays on fries and onion rings, officially opened for business Tuesday morning with a ribbon cutting ceremony at the West U.S. Highway 192 location adjacent to Old Town.

Part of the ceremony included a $5,000 donation to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida.

It becomes the third Central Florida location to open, joining west Orlando (the country’s busiest, per company officials) and Clermont restaurants. Two more will soon to come out of the onion patch—er, ground—in Daytona Beach and St. Augustine, bringing the still-family-owned chain and company, now in the hands of fourth-generation CEO Lisa Ingam, to 14 states.

It’s been a whirlwind of a process, as ground broke in Kissimmee in November 2025.

The Kissimmee location offers 3,430 square feet of indoor and outdoor seating and two drive-through lanes. It will be open from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. for the first few months before opening 24 hours a day. According to company Chief Marketing Officer (and “Crave-Ologist”) Jamie Richardson, the sign for the restaurant, which brings 60 jobs to the area, will read “Night Castle” after dark.

And, Tuesday couldn’t come soon enough, as passers-by who saw the sign during a media preview event were sad to hear they’d have to wait another day.

“This is like Christmas Eve for us,” Richardson said Monday of the opening staff. “We won’t get much sleep tonight.”

Despite much competition for the food dollar on West 192, Richardson said he’s excited to bring White Castle’s unique menu to a unique place.

“The community’s been welcoming thus far. People are out and about here, from residents to tourist traffic. Being adjacent to Old Town makes us visible,” he said. “We offer a distinct menu that can’t be duplicated, including sides you can’t get everywhere. Whether you’re a fan who grew up elsewhere or discovering us for the first time, it’s a taste that’s one of a kind.”
