First Presbyterian Church in Kissimmee recently completed a community service project that gave food to families in need. With the help of the Osceola County School Board, the church was given a list of 15 families in dire need of groceries. Each church volunteer filled a large laundry basket with groceries, which the families received on Dec. 19. However, eight families never showed up. But the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office swooped in and took the baskets to needy families. The photos above in order are Boy Scout Troop 800; members of the church; and the baskets of food.
