Davenport man killed in wrong-way crash on U.S. Highway 192

A Davenport man was killed in an Osceola County crash on Saturday after hitting another vehicle head-on.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol report, for an unknown reason, the 28-year-old victim was driving a sedan-type vehicle westbound in the eastbound lanes of U.S. Highway 192, near Crabgrass Road, at about 3:20 a.m.

The Davenport man then crashed into the front of another vehicle being driven eastbound on U.S. 192 by a 21-year-old Orlando resident. The Davenport man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Orlando driver and his 23-year-old Melbourne passenger both suffered serious injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
