Graduation caps flew high as students at Osceola School for the Arts kicked off a week of Osceola County School District graduations Monday.

The Silver Spurs Arena was filled with 241 seats at floor level, and many more filled in the stands with family members awaiting their loved ones to walk the stage into their futures.

The commencement was filled with live performances to go with the traditional speeches. Every one of the individuals performing or walking carried an artistic viewpoint on life.

“This is unlike any graduation I’ve ever seen. The mini shows, performances just made me realize how truly happy my son attended Osceola School f or the Arts,” said Jessica McGinnis.

From creative writing to full musical ensembles, the students put their hearts on the line to showcase their many talents on Graduation Day, a culmination of their four years of high school.

“I can’t believe I am done, I worked so hard and want to continue with my craft. I’m ready to move on and make myself proud,” said graduate Ruff Frazao.

Celebration and Gateway high schools held their ceremonies on Tuesday; St. Cloud (9:30 a.m.), Tohopekaliga (1:30 p.m.) and Liberty (5:30 p.m.) follow Wednesday.

Scheduled today (Thursday), students from Osceola (9:30 a.m.), Poinciana (1:30 p.m.) and Harmony (5:30 p.m.) take to the arena. On Friday the ceremonies conclude with Professional & Technical High School (9:30 a.m.), Zenith Accelerated Learning Academy (1:30 p.m.) and NeoCity Academy (5:30 p.m.).
