The Kissimmee Parks & Recreation Department recently opened the Mill Slough Park Fitness Trail at 2138 Agate Street to offer residents and visitors a well-shaded area to continue their exercise routines outdoors.

The Mill Slough Fitness Trail, constructed with $96,197, was a combination of city, state, and federal funds. The Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program (FRDAP) provided a $50,000 grant, while the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) granted $26,000. The city of Kissimmee invested $20,197 in this project.

“This new addition to the park provides a full-body outdoor fitness trail for users to stay in shape, develop, and strengthen muscles. It can also be used to create resistance or flexibility. Projects like these allow the city to continue offering spaces for residents and visitors to enjoy and take care of their wellness,” said Mayor Olga González.
