Celebration driver hits, kills pedestrian in Orange County

A Celebration driver hit and killed a Debary pedestrian in Orange County Tuesday morning.

The 46-year-old Celebration woman was driving an SUV northbound on Goldenrod Road at about 6:05 a.m., a Florida Highway Patrol report stated.

The 64-year-old pedestrian was attempting to cross the northbound lanes of Goldenrod Road when he was struck by the SUV. The pedestrian, who was not in a crosswalk, was taken to AdventHealth East Orlando, where he was later pronounced dead.

The crash remains under investigation.
