Celebrating the holiday the St. Cloud way!

The city of St. Cloud showed its spirit of the season last weekend.

Next up: Kissimmee’s Festival of Lights Saturday night

Friday night’s Tree Lighting Winter Wonderland Ceremony, which included the official tree lighting, caroling, rides and a faux snowfall, led into Saturday morning’s 62nd annual Christmas Parade. Santa Claus, who made an appearance on Friday night, stayed over and helped with this year’s theme—The Magic of Christmas.

The annual St. Cloud tradition hosted by the St. Cloud Chamber of Commerce featured floats, festive decorations, marching bands, dance teams, cheerleaders, local dignitaries and organizations, luminaries and others who make the season bright, and attracted tens of thousands of onlookers to downtown, which also hosted the annual Holiday Festival presented by the Rotary Club.

Next week, check out our photos of the Kissimmee Festival of Lights. The annual parade will highlight a day full of celebration starting at 4 p.m. with cookie decorating, pictures with Santa, and more at Lakefront Park and outside of City Hall. Be sure to get a good spot for the 7:30 p.m. parade when thousands of holiday lights light up Kissimmee past the city’s adorned Christmas tree.
