The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office arrested a burglary suspect after he broke into a Kissimmee subdivision home while the residents were sleeping and stole the keys.

On Feb. 6 the Sheriff’s Office investigated two occupied residential burglaries that occurred in the Bellalago subdivision. During one of the incidents, a victim’s vehicle was stolen.

Throughout the investigation, probable cause was established for the arrest of Sergio Raygoza.

On Feb. 25, detectives with the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office West Criminal Investigations Division were able to locate Raygoza, who had active felony warrants for the stolen vehicle, burglaries to occupied residences and dealing in stolen property.

Raygoza told detectives he was hanging out with several friends when he broke into the victim’s homes. He admitted to going inside the homes, knowing the victims were inside sleeping. After searching the home, he found a set of keys, which matched the victims Dodge Durango sitting in the driveway. He then stole the vehicle, along with several electronics and credit cards.

Raygoza was caught in Orlando as he was entering the stolen vehicle. He was placed under arrest for his active warrants. Raygoza was booked into the Osceola County Jail and charged with grand theft auto, two counts of burglary to an occupied residence, dealing stolen property and grand theft from a dwelling.
