Osceola Council on Aging and Meals on Wheels of America teamed up with Bingo Blitz, the world’s largest online free bingo game, and coordinated a “Super Bingo” event Friday at the Barney E. Veal Center. The event included prizes, a variety of entertainment, music, and a visit from mascot Blitizie to showcase the great work that Meals on Wheels Osceola coordinates locally, but also to create awareness of the Meals on Wheels of America movement nationally. The staff of Bingo Blitz entertained the seniors by playing Bingo, meeting a superstar volunteer, and bringing immeasurable joy to the Osceola Council on Aging seniors for the day.

In addition, Bingo Blitz presented a $25,000 check to the Osceola Meals on Wheels program to thank them for all the hard work it takes to feed the community, along with Bingo Blitz branded gifts, bingo cards and decorations for the day.

“We feel honored to have been chosen by the Meals on Wheels program in Osceola County for this event,” said Wendy Ford, CEO of the Osceola Council on Aging. “By presenting a check to the Osceola Meals on Wheels program, we can continue with our mission of ending senior hunger in our community. We are grateful!”
