Monday, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office shared the results of an operation to corral sexual offenders who remained in violation of state statute — 56 arrests.

In conjunction with the United States Marshals, the department wrapped up Operation Bad Apple, which started March 28, on Friday.

“The operation had a primary focus, but not limited to; sexual offenders and sexual predators who have prior state or federal convictions for production, transmission, and/or possession of child pornography/sexual performance of a child; transmission of harmful material to a minor; or video voyeurism,” a Sheriff’s Office release read Monday.

Operation Bad Apple resulted in 56 arrests of sexual offenders and predators in reference to violations of their statutory sex offense restrictions and or new law violations. Those arrested ranged in age from 20 to 71. All arrestees were booked and transported to the Osceola County Jail.
