Two new art installations at Lakefront Park in Kissimmee are now up and running, if you first download the app to view them.
“Tranquility Tree” by James Margary is located on the back wall of the American Legion Post 10 Building. The mural itself is colorful and bright, but the app augments the view with birds, butterflies, music and banners with inspirational quotes, using 3D animation and sounds. Overlooking Lake Toho near the Toho Marina, “Silv(AR) Clouds” by Matthew Swenson overlays the natural scene in front of you with a futuristic 3D mural and sound.
The public can access the art through the City Unseen mobile app. It is the City’s first-ever augmented reality (AR) public art installation at the Park. The project is a partnership between the Downtown Kissimmee Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA), Osceola Arts, and Snap! Orlando.
