Kissimmee Police Department detectives announced Tuesday they have made an arrest in connection to a homicide on March 18.

Juan Luis Henriquez Caraballo, 45, was arrested Friday on a separate warrant in Pennsylvania.

Willie Martin, 43, was shot and killed in an incident near Central Avenue and Cypress Street, across the street from Central Avenue Elementary School.

KPD said its detectives were able to identify Henriquez Caraballo as the suspect in the shooting. He is currently being held in Pennsylvania and is awaiting extradition back to Florida.

Two more recent deadly shootings, both which occurred March 30, have yet to have arrests connected to them and resulted in the deaths of two people and injury to three others. An 18-year-old was killed along the Kissimmee bike trail between Thacker Avenue and Dyer Boulevard that morning, and another shooting that afternoon in a parking lot near Vine and Main Streets claimed another life and injured two people, including the innocent driver of a passing vehicle on Vine Street.
