APV fifth annual Trunk or Treat to be Saturday, Oct. 31

The Association of Poinciana Villages (APV) will be hosting its fifth Annual Trunk or Treat on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Poinciana Community Center, 445 Marigold Ave.  The entire APV community is invited to join is for some safe trick or treating fun.

 

The reason for this early mention is so residents and businesses who would like to participate in the “Truck” can register now. Participants need to register their vehicle type along with the name, email and telephone number. You should decorate your vehicle with a Halloween theme and distribute “treats” from the trunk of your vehicle. Bring on the chills and thrills!  Halloween Scream N’Stream, hosted by Boggy Creek Airport Adventures, is planning some spooky events that will be like watching a horror movie in real life from the seat of your car.  

Drive-in to their 30-minute theatrical experience that takes place along a 1.2-mile dark forest road.  This “spook-tacular” will include live performances, props, audio and more. In addition, there is drive-through trick or treating (family friendly) as well as a drive-through haunted house (parental discretion is advised).

Boggy Creek Airboat Adventures is located at 2001 E. Southport Road.  This event runs from Sept. 25 to Oct. 31. Portions of proceeds will benefit Second Harvest Food Bank.

The next APV Blood Drive will be Friday, Sept. 25, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  The Big Red Bus will be at the APV Fitness Center parking lot, 447 Marigold Ave.  

All donors will receive two pairs of OneBlood Cancer Awareness socks. Donors will also receive a COVID-19 anti-body test and a wellness check, which includes a blood pressure, temperature check, iron count, pulse and cholesterol screening. Appointments are encouraged.  For questions, call 1-888-9-DONATE.  Be sure to use sponsor identification, 58087. Your identification is required.
