102 students quarantined at Gateway High due to COVID-19 concerns

A total of 102 students were quarantined at Gateway High School in Kissimmee due to COVID-19 concerns, according to the Osceola County School District website.
The latest numbers reflect the number of cases on the week of Jan. 11. Ten students tested positive for the coronavirus at Gateway. Three school staff members also were tested positive.
At St. Cloud High School, 91 students were told to quarantine after 5 cases of COVID-19 were confirmed. Four school staff members were quarantined, while only one tested positive.
Tohopekaliga High School put 67 students under quarantine after 7 students tested positive, and Celebration High School quarantined 65 students after five tested positive. Three school staff members tested positive as well.

And Osceola School for the Arts had 68 students under quarantine.

 According to the website, it is the goal of the Osceola County School District to be completely transparent in reporting COVID incidents so that all of its stakeholders feel informed about the number of positive cases in its schools.

Every Monday, the district will post the total number of students and school personnel by school who have notified the district of positive COVID-19 test results for the week prior, as well as the number of students and school personnel who have been told to quarantine beginning that week.
