Families in need were recently supported by the Embrace Families’ 2020 Holiday Rescue campaign. Embrace Families, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office and the Elks Lodge got involved.
More than 200 families working with Embrace Families and their partner agencies were invited to drive through the holiday trail at the Elks Lodge in Kissimmee (Kings Highway) at a specific time. They received treats and music along the way, and at the end received a basket filled with food to prepare a holiday meal and gift cards to purchase presents for the kids. More than 750 baskets were assembled on Dec. 10 and are being distributed to families in Osceola, Orange and Seminole counties.
