Mark your calendars! The Southport Farmers Market, (2001 E. Southport Road) will start up again on Saturday, Sept. 16 and be held every third Saturday of the month until April 20. The Market will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

In addition to fruits and vegetables vendors will also have plants, crafts, baked goods, candles, honey, jam and jellies. Food trucks will also be onsite. This sounds like a perfect afternoon. Did you miss meeting the new Osceola County’s Superintendent of Schools while he was in the Poinciana area? Here is your second chance. Dr. Mark Shanoff will be at Liberty High School on Tuesday, Sept. 12. All school district county employees, parents, students and community members are invited to attend for cookies and conversations.

Times are 5-6 p.m. for school district employees and 6:15-7:15 p.m. for parents, students and community members.

Poinciana Little League Fall Ball 2023 registration is open until Sept.. The season runs from September to November 2023. Practice is one day a week minimum with games beginning the week of Sept. 25th. Division ages are: T-ball – 4 to 6 years old, Baseball - 6 to 8 years old, Baseball - 8 to 12 years old, Baseball - 13 to 16 years old, Softball - 8 to 10 years old, Softball - 11 to 12 year olds, and Softball 13 to 16 year olds.

Registration fee for all divisions is $125 per child. Your registration fee includes the team jersey and hat. Parents need to provide a helmet, bat, glove, pants, socks and cleats.
