Get ready for some deliciousness! The next Food Truck and Game Night will be this Saturday (June 17) from 5-9 p.m. at the Poinciana Community Center side field (445 Marigold Ave.). Enjoy family friendly games, a DJ and amazing food. The food trucks will include Jeremiahs Italian Ice, Manny’s Pizzeria, Doctor Tacos, Delicias Peruvian and Neny Pleta. Don’t miss out!

Now that it’s officially hot outside again, get cool with Anna, Elsa, Olaf and the gang at the Poinciana Library on Friday (June 16). The Disney movie Frozen will be shown from 2-4 p.m. Then head back to the Library on Friday, June 23 for Frozen 2! Keep cozy with a pillow and blanket brought from home.

Camp iREAD presents: Gatorland on Wednesday, June 21 from 10-11 a.m. Meet Florida’s most famous resident and watch as an American alligator is brought into the room! Meet the knowledgeable gator wranglers from Gatorland who will share stories on close encounters with this feared predator.

All Library programs are free and open to the public.

If you can’t get inside, beat the summer heat with some pool time. Poinciana’s Victory Pool is open Wednesday thru Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Individual daily rate is $5, weekly $15 and an individual yearly pass is $50. Family rates are $40 a month and $60 annually. The Arrington Aquatic Center is also open the same hours. Resident and non-residents fee for individuals are $7 per day, $20 a week, monthly $50 and yearly.

Big things are coming Poinciana’s way. Poinciana Lakes Plaza, which broke ground earlier this year in Solivita Market Place, has named new tenants such as Ross, T.J. Max, Burlington, Petco, Ulta, Rack Room Shoes, Kiddie Academy, 5 Below, Americas Best and Crunch Fitness. Several other businesses have signed on as out-parcels, including TD Bank, MD Now, Outback Steakhouse, Bojangles and Panda Express.
