The weather may be going up, down and sideways, but the one constant is there is always something to do at the Poinciana Library on Doverplum Avenue.

On Thursday, Jan. 25 from 10-11 a.m. adults 19+ can join the Using the Internet class. Improve your skills using the net by learning how to use a web browser, get an email address and secure online transactions.

Teens Beyond Limits: Black Light Painting takes place on Saturday, Jan. 27 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Teen programming– created by Teens! Discover new interests, new skills and make new friends at this monthly program. This month, Miss Nikki will be presenting a guided tutorial on how to create an acrylic painting using fluorescent UV responsive paints. All supplies will be provided–make sure you wear clothes that you will not mind getting dirty. This event is for ages 12-18.

Every Monday from 9:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the Osceola School Districts Special Programs Department brings their READ Bus, a renovated school bus, with an interior resembling a mini pre-K classroom to Poinciana. The READ bus is equipped with resources to engage parents and families of toddlers and pre-school aged children in activities. These activities develop early literacy skills under the guidance of trained parent liaisons. This is presented on a first come–first served basis, with registration encouraged. Call 407-870-4934 for more information. This program is for children ages 3 and 4 years old. There are available sessions at 9:15 a.m. and 10:15 a.m.

Rhythm, Rhyme and Story Time, a program for ages 2 to 5 takes place every Monday from 10:30 to 11 a.m. This program is dedicated to music and movement. Finger play, rhythm movement and dancing–a perfect opportunity to fun filled learning with vocabulary, counting skills, creative thinking and listening skills being showcased.

Baby & Me is a program for children ages from birth to 18 months. This program takes place every Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This story time introduces books with playtime and music.

Tuesday has something to offer for adults too! Dungeons and Dragons gaming uses imagination and problem-solving skills while meeting and socializing with others who enjoy role playing games. Bring your own dice! Registration is required. To register, go to https://osceolalibrary.libcal. com/event/11369581. This event is from 6-8 p.m. and is for adults 19+.

On Wednesday, Jan. 31, Flex Your Fingers: Fine Motor Skills workshop for children up to age 5 takes place at 10:30 a.m. This every Wednesday morning event allows for quality time in a kid-center learning environment. Participants will engage in pre-planned activities, which help to develop fine-motor skills, listening skills, early reading skills, socialization and creativity.

Adults can roll up their sleeves on Wednesday, Jan. 3 from 1-6 p.m. and participate in a community blood drive. OneBlood’s Big Red Bus will be onsite to receive donations.
