It’s beginning to look a LOT like Christmas!

The City of St. Cloud, Parks and Recreation Department presents Holiday Gala on Friday from 5-9 p.m. for ages 18 and up at The Ranch at St. Cloud (5452 Jones Rd.). The $25 event admission includes dinner, prizes and holiday cheer. To register, go to the Civic Center located at 3001 17th Street or online at http://webtrac.stcloud.org.

Starting Friday and running through Thursday of next week, prepare to the Light Up the Cloud. This event is held at Peghorn Park (2101 Peghorn Way).

Join the Peghorn Nature Park for a whimsical walk along the trail under a canopy of holiday lights.  Enjoy hot beverages, cookies, singing and holiday cheer. The cost is $5 per person.

New Year’s is right around the corner! End this holiday season — and 2021 — on a high note.  The City of St. Cloud and OUC are hosting the 5th Annual Rockin’ the Cloud on Dec. 31 in downtown St. Cloud from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m.

This year’s event boasts three stages of live entertainment, with performances by Maiden Voyage, Raspberry Pie, Raging Sun, Harlequin and headliner Tim Montana. Of course, there will be a countdown to midnight and the city’s own “Cloud drop” to ring in the New Year.

When it’s time to retire your real Christmas tree this year, don’t curb your Christmas tree – S.W.A.P. it!  Instead of just throwing out your old Christmas tree, bring it to the St. Cloud Civic Center (3101 17th St.) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Jan. 8 and swap it out for a new tree to plant at home. If you do not have an old Christmas tree, you can still stop by to get a free tree. To trade out your Christmas tree, it must be free of decorations.
