Solider City’s Veterans Salute Dinner will be held Friday from 6-9 p.m. at the St. Cloud Senior Center (3101 17th St.). Presented by St. Cloud Main Street, Ford Insurance and Orlando Utilities Commission, this Veterans Tribute features guest Lt. Gen. (retired) Mark Hertling and Col. Calvin Wimbish. Hertling served for 38 years in the U.S. Army and retired in December 2012 after serving as the Commanding General of U.S. Army, Europe (USAREUR) where he led more than 60,000 soldiers and partnered with the armies of 51 nations. Wimbish is a retired Green Beret, aviator, Infantryparatrooper and Military Intelligence Officer with over 33 years of active, guard and reserve before accepting several Title 10 combat tours to Iraq and Afghanistan.

This dinner event pays tribute to Veterans of all wars. Through donations of corporate tables, many free meals to St. Cloud Veterans are possible. Tickets may still be available, call 407-498-0008.

The third annual Kenansville Cowboy Christmas event takes place on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Kenansville Silver Spurs Arena (598 1st Ave., Kenansville). Admission is $5 for adults, $2 for kids (cash only) or bring a nonperishable food item per person for free entry. Enjoy live music – Jason Write OMB and Wally Collins. Vendors include crafters and artisans (tumblers, quilts, leather goods, hats, jewelry, shotgun shell art, handmade cow whips, soaps and an array of other crafters). Food trucks will be on-site. For the kiddoes, there is face painting and a photo-op with Santa.

The Woman’s Club of St. Cloud presents its 7th Annual Fall Festival/Bazaar on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the St. Cloud Senior Center. Get started early on Christmas gifts with many handcrafted items. This is also an opportunity to meet members of the St. Cloud Woman’s Club Heritage Museum. Also this weekend, the St. Thomas Aquinas Fall Fiesta takes place Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church (700 Brown Chapel Road). Enjoy games, music, dancing, vendors, beer and wine, raffle and rummage sale. St. Thomas will also be holding its Annual Crusader Crawl 5k Run/Walk on Saturday starting at 8 a.m. at 1104 Lakeshore Blvd. Registration fee is $30 for ages 13 and up, $15 for ages 4-12 and kids 3 and under are free. All funds raised go toward the school’s Scholarship Fund which provides tuition assistance for families in need to attend the school. Osceola County District 5 Commissioner Ricky Booth and Mercy Foundation invites the community to a free Farm Share Food Distribution on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at the Holopaw Community Center, 8801 Community Center Road. Great Outdoors Day Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Lakefront Park, 1104 Lakeshore Blvd. Explore and learn about the great outdoors at this free, family event. There will be live demonstrations, interactive booths, educational information and more. Bring a non-perishable or can food item and receive a ticket for a raffle drawing.

The 2022 Community Appreciation Day at Osceola County Animal Services takes place on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 3910 Old Canoe Creek Road.
