Boots, Bulls and Barrels — Oct. 3

Ah, October … it’s the month of the start of fall weather, pumpkin spice latte …

... And dirt in the rodeo ring at the Silver Spurs Arena!

Get ready for Boots, Bulls, and Barrels, the annual one-night-only event that features tournament-style competition in two of the fastest and fan-friendliest events — bull riding and barrel racing.

On Oct. 3 at 7:30 p.m., pro cowboys and cowgirls will compete for one night for bragging rights — and some cold hard cash. Watch they guys compete in multiple bull riding sets against the bulls — the baddest, meanest stock the Silver Spurs Riding Club can rind and raise — to try to hang until the eight-second buzzer sounds. The barrel racers will run fast out of the gate and complete “lady-a-lady” against the clock and one another to win prize money.

Come for the fast rodeo action, and stay to meet Silver Spurs Rodeo new Big Boss Henry and the Miss Silver Spurs Court: Miss Silver Spurs Michaela Wall, Junior Miss Silver Spurs Ivey Rousch and Little Miss Silver Spurs Emma Folsom.

“There’s nothing quite like watching the action live, especially when our community comes together to fill the arena,” Thacker said. “We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back for Boots, Bulls and Barrels and another exciting night at the Silver Spurs Arena.”

As with any Spurs’ rodeo, there’s a good cause: Boots, Bulls, and Barrels benefits the Silver Spurs Riding Club’s annual scholarship fund, with those scholarships staying local and given to graduating Osceola County seniors.

Tickets start at $15 for kids and $25 for adults and are available now at www.SilverSpursRodeo.com.
