The 3rd Annual BrooklynRoseStrong 5K Family Fun Walk/Run takes place on Saturday, Sept. 12 at 7:30 a.m. at the St. Cloud Lakefront. This special event is held in memory of Brooklyn Rose Medina, a local DIPG (Diffuse Intirnsic Pontine Glioma) warrior whose courage and strength continues to inspire this mission. Proceeds from BrooklynRoseStrong 5K benefit the Brooklyn’s Petals of Hope Foundation which provides direct financial assistance to families facing diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma/diffuse midline glioma (DIPG/DMG), the most lethal form of pediatric cancer. The first 300 registered participants will receive an official race-day T-shirt (register by August to ensure preferred size) and a finisher medal. Runners and walkers of all ages and experience levels are welcome.
The event will include a special kid’s dash in addition to a family friendly 5K walk/run, awards for the top male and female finishers, an award for the largest team, an award for the Most Spirited Team, recognition for the top individual Fundraiser and recognition for the top team Fundraiser. Osceola Anglers High School Fishing Club needs volunteers for the 2026-2027 Angler season. The club is built on teamwork and community support.
