After severe weather hit the state on Monday, we take a break Tuesday and Wednesday with partly sunny and upper 80s to low 90s.

Unfortunately, we will see more rain and a few thunderstorms from Thursday through Sunday. The storms on Monday brought numerous reports of hail and wind gusts to between 40 and 60 miles per hour as well as several tornado reports to Central Florida.

Venus continues to shine in our Western sky after sunset with Jupiter, Saturn and Mars in the Southeastern sky around 3 and 4 a.m.  It is looking like we are in for a hot summer according to the upper air weather pattern that I am seeing; a good year for comparison would be 1998.

The hurricane season is also looking above normal. That could be a real problem with COVID-19 making it very difficult to set up hurricane shelters, and continue social distancing. Hurricanes supplies could be even harder to find than usual.
