The state of Florida’s toll-saving program–giving those with over 35 toll transactions half off their costs–ended on April 1.
But, if you have an E-PASS transponder and you frequent those roads, there are still savings available to you thanks to the Central Florida Expressway Authority.
CFX is restarting its E-PASS Volume Toll Savings program to provide E-PASS customers with 25% savings if they have 80 or more transactions in a month. Those who have at least 40 monthly uses will save 20%.
“Our customer-first approach is the driving force behind our E-PASS Volume Toll Savings Program as a unique way to save money on tolls as drivers use our system,” said Christopher Maier, Chairman for CFX. “We’re very excited to bring back the Volume Toll Savings Program and continue offering savings to customers who choose E-PASS and CFX expressways.”
“We paused our Volume Toll Discount program during the State Toll Relief program,” said CFX Senior Director of External Affairs Raquel Asa. “We are excited to offer our E-PASS customers tiered savings again based on the number of transactions per transponder per month on the CFX network.”
E-PASS customers are automatically enrolled in the program and the volume toll savings, and accounts are automatically credited on or before the 10th of each month. So credits for April toll usage will appear on accounts around May 10.
While E-PASS customers can use Sunpass-charged roads like Florida’s Turnpike, the Polk Parkway and the south end of State Road 417, only tolls paid on E-PASS owned and operated roads count toward the transaction account. They include 417 north and east of Celebration, State Roads 408, 528, Poinciana Parkway and the I-4 Express Lanes.
The plan has been around in one shape or form since 1998, the agency said.
