St. Cloud Main Street launching Cloud Cash

St. Cloud Main Street is launching Cloud Cash with the help from the Osceola County Economic  Development Grant.

The program is designed to bring $10,000 worth of spending money to our participating downtown merchants. The full list or participating businesses can be found on the St. Cloud Main Street website and social media pages. With this program, individuals can purchase a $10 voucher on the Main Streetwebsite for just $5 to spend downtown. Vouchers will be mailed to customers or they can choose to come pick them up in the Main Street office after purchase.

Main street is trying to encourage purchases at our downtown businesses by providing a discount directly to the consumer without impacting our merchant's bottom line. By utilizing our grant to cover the additional $5 value on the voucher, our merchants can accept the vouchers just like cash and earn the full $10 on each purchase. Ultimately, Main Street officials hope that the incentive of obtaining a voucher for 50 percent off the face value will help to bring new customers downtown. Main Street is hopeful that the new customers will continue to frequent the downtown businesses once they see what the downtown area has to offer.

This program will run from Feb. 27, 2021 to July 31. Vouchers will be available for purchase at www.stcloudmainstreet.org until the entirety of the grant has been utilized.

St. Cloud Main Street Program is a comprehensive revitalization program designed to encourage ongoing economic development in conjunction with historic preservation. Our goal is to bring more recognition to downtown and what it has to offer. It is a non-profit organization funded by sponsors, memberships, city and county governments and run by community volunteers.
