The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office is currently looking for an aggravated battery suspect who kept a victim against their will for several days.

On Tuesday at about 4:55 p.m., deputies responded to Orlando Health in St. Cloud in response to an incident that occurred on Naples Way in Kissimmee. The victim advised that during an argument with Kalib Maragh, 21, he became extremely upset and began hitting the individual all over the body with the barrel of a firearm he was holding, according to a Sheriff’s Office report. He also struck the victim in the face and fired a round from the firearm at the individual. The abuse occurred over the next couple of days while Maragh kept the victim inside the home, not allowing the person to leave.

The report did not identify the victim.

On Nov. 2, the victim was able to escape the home and flag down a passer-by in the area. The victim was then taken to the hospital.

A search warrant was obtained and served at the Naples Way home, but Maragh was not located. Sheriff’s Office officials still believe he has the gun.

He faces arrest for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon (domestic), aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (domestic), shooting into an occupied dwelling, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and battery (domestic).

Anyone with information related to the case is asked to contact the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office at 407-348-2222 or Crimeline at 1-800-423-8477 (www.crimeline.org), where information leading to a felony arrest may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
