Any time a student transitions from one school to the next, it can be an exciting time for the child and parent alike.

Usually, there are plenty of questions and fears of the unknown. In order to help students and parents become familiar with their new schools for the 2021-22 school year, the Osceola School District will be launching school orientations for incoming sixth and ninth grade students via FlipGrid, instead of holding large in-person events this year due to health and safety concerns:

Incoming sixth grade and ninth grade student orientation

will launch on FlipGrid on Jan. 25 at https://www.osceolaschools.net/choicetours

Incoming sixth and ninth grade students, along with their parents, are invited to select the school that they will be attending next school year to virtually meet their new principal, to get an idea of what programs and classes will be offered, to learn about the campus, to find out about the extracurricular sports and club offerings and more. This will be in preparation for visits by middle and high school guidance counselors to their current elementary and middle schools in February and March to make individual student course selections for next school year.
