School Board approves new administrative appointments

On May 5, the Osceola County School Board approved the following administrative appointments:

Demetrik Harris, assistant principal at Gateway High

Demetrik Harris has held the following positions: teacher at Excel Alternatives School in Orlando (2009-2011); teacher at Celebration High (2011-13); dean of students at Celebration High (2013-16); and learning resource specialist at Celebration High (2016-present).  He received his bachelor’s degree in computer information systems from DeVry University and a master's degree in Educational Leadership from National-Louis University.

 •Roberto Morales, assistant principal at Tohopekaliga High

Roberto Morales has held the following positions: literacy coach at St. Cloud High (2014-16); high school ela resource teacher for the Osceola School District (2016-17); academic dean of students (2017-18); and assistant principal for curriculum and instruction at Lake Marion Creek Middle School (2018-present).  He has three master's degrees: one in elementary education from Mercy College, another in reading from East Stroudsburg University, and the last one being in educational leadership from the American College of Education.
