Ride free if Santa’s driving your LYNX route

While the elves are working away getting toys ready for all the little (and big) kids this holiday season, Santa Claus will be out and about in our area driving bus routes for the Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority (LYNX).

Be good, Santa’s watching — maybe from the seat behind the wheel of a bus!

Thanks to the folks at LYNX, Santa’s “sleigh” has been upgraded with all of the latest safety features to make sure the 2021 holiday season is the safest yet for everyone who rides. It’s also been decorated for Christmas, and those who ride the bus should hope to see in on their routes starting this week until he heads home for the holidays on Dec. 24.

Customers lucky enough to find Santa driving their route will ride that Link for free. The bus will be in service Monday-Saturday and routes will change daily.

This is an annual LYNX event. In the past, Santa has appeared on routes in and out of the downtown Kissimmee Intermodal Station.

Following the annual holiday bus initiative, from Dec. 13-17, LYNX will be hosting a “Holidays Around the World” trivia contest on the agency’s Facebook page. The public is encouraged to join in on the fun as the agency will be giving away 30-Day bus passes and other prizes.
