High School seniors who reside in Poinciana or nearby communities (ZIP codes 34758, 34759 or 34746) have a special opportunity to apply for the Poinciana Area Council scholarship for post high school education.

For the 2020 school year, the Poinciana Area Council (PAC) will award four $800 scholarships to four deserving students.

Even if you currently are out-of-zoned to attend another school, either in Osceola or Polk counties, as long as you reside in those ZIP codes, meet other criteria and submit a 500 word essay, this scholarship may be awarded to you.

The essay topic is, “Explain your educational goals and future career path. How will achieving your goals impact your community?”

The PAC Scholarship was created to reward and benefit students who live in Poinciana. PAC celebrates and encourages the young people in the community while encouraging them to achieve their educational goals.

The Poinciana Area Council operates under the umbrella of the Kissimmee/ Osceola County Chamber of Commerce. PAC was established in 1998, and represents the Poinciana area focusing on the issues that matter most to business and the community. PAC describes itself as the provider of a common voice in promoting the economic well being of businesses and exists to advance the civic, professional, educational and environmental welfare of the Poinciana area.

The PAC scholarship is a reflection of their commitment to the community. To apply for the PAC scholarship, download the application at https://chambermaster.blob.core.windows.net/userfiles/UserFiles/chambers/7798/File/PACScholarshipApplicationForm2020.pdf.

The deadline to apply is March 13.
