The Osceola School District, in partnership with the Alliance for Public Schools, will kick-off the next “Power Up for Success” conference for parents and guardians on March 26 from 7:30-11 a.m. at Osceola High School.

The free in-person conference will give families the tools they need to navigate the education system and best help their learners at all grade levels.

Registration will open at 7:30 a.m. In-person sessions will be given on the following topics:

• You Know More English Than You Think

• ESE – The Power of Reinforcement

• Tips, Tricks, And The Truth About Helping Your Child Be A Better Reader

• One-to-One Technology: Now What?

• Get “Plugged In” and Connect to Your Child’s Learning

• Finance 101: Shifting Your Money Mindset

• How Can Career And Technical Education Help Prepare My Child For Work and College?

• VPK - Helping Your Child Succeed In School

• Ready, Set, High School and Beyond-Creating A Plan for Success

• A Parent’s Toolbox to Understanding Social and Emotional Development of School Age Children

• Let’s FOCUS!

• ESE - How To Help Your Child Study For Success

• It’s Elementary!

• How To Choose The Right School? Navigating District Schools

• Keep Active Minds Learning All Summer Long!

In addition to the sessions, “Power Up For Success” will also offer a gallery of district resources and information from a number of district departments and postsecondary schools including: Voluntary Prekindergarten, Elementary Education, S D O C Environmental Center, Middle School Education, High School Education, Extended Learning, Student Services, Technology Services, Exceptional Student Education, English Language Learners/ Multicultural Department, Osceola Technical College, Adult Learning Center - Osceola, Career and Technical Education, Special Programs, and the Educational Choices and Innovation Department.
