Toho Water Authority is announcing that shifting lanes closures on Neptune Road going westbound will start Thursday at approximately 9 a.m.

The lane closures will be between Idora Boulevard and Westchester Drive. The lane closures are necessary to conduct an assessment for an upcoming sewer rehabilitation project in the Glendale Drive area. The Glendale Drive entrance and exit on Neptune Road will be temporarily closed as well during this assessment.

The assessment project will be conducted by Garney Construction and is expected to be completed by the afternoon. Schedules could vary according to weather and other unforeseen circumstances.

Motorists and pedestrians are urged to use caution when approaching these areas, as workers will be present and speed limits may be reduced and sidewalks possibly closed and diverted. Flaggers will be in place directing traffic when needed.

Temporary inconveniences could be noise and vibrations; barricades and fencing for safety; trucks, machinery and equipment; and possible odors from sewer system.

If you see a potentially unsafe situation, or equipment or fencing that requires attention, contact Toho’s Customer Service Department immediately at 407-944-5000.

If you become aware of a public safety emergency, call 911 immediately.
