Man wanted for Osceola homicide arrested in Puerto Rico

A wanted for a May shooting death in Osceola County was arrested in Puerto Rico on Wednesday.

Edwin Samuel Colon-Vazquez, 30, has been charged with homicide.

 According to a Sheriff’s Office report, on May 10, at 4:36 a.m., the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office responded to Hilliard Court home in Kissimmee in response to a shooting. At the location, deputies discovered a male identified as Reynier Camaco-Linares had been shot.

The owner of the home had been hosting a small party when the shooting occurred. The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment, but several days later, Camaco-Linares died from the gunshot wound, the report stated.

During the investigation, Colon-Vazquez was identified as the suspect in the shooting, and an arrest warrant was acquired for his arrest for homicide.

On Wednesday, the United States Marshal’s Service Florida Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force captured Colon-Vazquez in the San Juan area of Puerto Rico. Colon-Vazquez is being held on no bond while awaiting extradition back to Florida.
